MY Custom Elixir -
rainbow!
My buddy Mark Reed from Prism kites flew in for a visit
for a few days (8/15/00) and as I was about to drive him to the
airport he handed me this awesome surprise! This Elixir uses a new
rainbow material I hadn't seen before. It appears almost airbrushed.

IT WORKED
My personal record - 50 continuous spins with 65ft lines - Very nice
performing kite
I flew the Gemini first at KTA and didn't
care much for it. But the wind conditions then were horrible! So it
wasn't a fair test. All the positive comments in rec.kites made me
want to try one again. That and everyone says that this is the easiest
kite to Back-Spin. Since I've tried to learn that trick with no
luck, I got this kite and was doing the backspin on my 3rd
attempt. The kite has some squirrelly traits, and isn't doesn't
fly near as smooth or fluidly as the Elixir, but it will backspin with
relative ease.
One good kite deserves a backup - so I got another...

Fly buddy Dan Wozniak traded/acquired my damaged Ozone and
Elixir and repaired them with the
really cool "Prism patch (right)" and replaced damaged
Elixir Mylar panels with ripstop (left).
Way to go Dan! - you've made a couple one of a kind
kites!

Beautiful and unusual design. Flew it for 30 min. Is very different in
flight characteristics.
not recommended for someone with few kites, but if you want to
experience something unique and you have a good selection of kites
already, give it a shot. They're pretty inexpensive.
Sold it - cool to look at, but flies really weird.
Director - nice flying kite! One of my favorite
all around kites!
